Malmö, 2026: Something new is beginning

Friends,

Kockska Huset has stood at the heart of Malmö since 1523. For centuries, these walls have held celebrations, conversations, and meals that mattered. That history is not a burden. It is a foundation.

Over the past year, we have been quietly at work. Rethinking what this place can be. Not out of restlessness, but out of genuine curiosity about what comes next for a building this old, in a city moving this fast.

What we have been building is something we are now ready to share.

Årstiderna remains: our classic dining room, shaped by Swedish seasons and the craft of cooking them honestly. Alongside it, we are opening Järn, a grill built around fire, simplicity, and the best producers we know. And for those who want to gather in something more intimate, Gillesalarna and our garden offer spaces that feel genuinely apart from the ordinary.

This is not a reinvention. It is a deepening. We are not chasing something new. We are returning to what has always made this place worth coming back to: good food, real hospitality, and the particular feeling of being somewhere that has earned its age.

We are proud of what Kockska Huset is becoming. And we cannot wait to welcome you.

Earlier this year, Årstiderna hosted an evening with Circle III in June. The restaurant opened its doors for a night of food, drinks, and music. Guests were welcomed with a bespoke menu, accompanied by a selection of wines and cocktails, and a DJ set that carried the evening late into the night. It was the kind of night Årstiderna was made for.
